Tension Weights
The tensión weights are designed for installation with Overspeed Governors, guaranteeing the required tension on the table for the correct action of the safety gears. Different versions are manufactured, with fixation by a runner via a plate and 3 bridles or support on the floor of the pit, with a metallic tension weight or tension supplied by springs. There is also the option of a plastic pulley (PA 6+FV) or grey iron (FG25). All the tension weights are supplied with an electrical safety switch which will be activated in the event of breaking or weakening of the cable of the overspeed governor and with rope out protection for stray objects.
Safety Gear
GERVALL’s GV-2000 progressive safety gears have been designed for easy assembly and operation. The high capacity of P+Q (up to 2000 7.5% Kg.) allows its use in almost all standard lifts. It’s wide clearance (4mm) between roller and guide allows easy installation and prevents rubbing or trapping caused by other types of safety gears. Its reduced dimensions allow it to be installed on 120 mm beams, and also makes it less heavy, making it easier for the operator to assemble. Simplicity of quality control when using commercial elastic elements according to the DIN 2093 standard.
Opening Door System Detection
Lock opening and detection system for swing doors by means of emergency key in lifts with pit and/or reduced headroom according to EN81-21, point 5.7.3.1. The complete system is made up of two elements, a cable with fixation screws and a support with its electrical contact (1NC+1NO) and triangle for opening the lock from the exterior. The cable of 2 metres, also permits the opening of the lock from the inside of the shaft or pit by the maintenance worker.
UCM Safety Gears
Our progressive safety gears/braking devices M-240; M-245; M245/2000; M-247; M-290; have been tested and certified by TÜV Rheinland, in accordance with point 5.8 of EN 81-50:2020 as element of braking and maintaining stoppage of the car, verifying that they can carry out these functions in bi-directional operations of very low speeds with very small braking distances. Gervall’s range of safety gears covers P+Q from 500 to 4000Kg and guide rail widths from 8 to16mm.
