ZIEHL-ABEGG Elevator ZArec Regenerative Unit
Description
ZIEHL-ABEGG Elevator ZArec Regenerative Unit
In a conventional elevator system, the surplus energy produced during travel is typically dissipated as waste heat through a brake resistor. However, this approach faces scrutiny from an environmental standpoint due to resource scarcity, escalating energy costs, and the growing emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability. To address these challenges, the ZArec4C regeneration unit comes into play. It captures and stores the generated energy, feeding it back into the power grid. The ZArec’s sleek, flat design makes it well-suited for wall mounting in either the machine room or lift shaft.
Properties:
With the ZArec power recuperation unit the demands for energy efficiency and sustainability of elevator systems are met. The generated energy is stored and fed back into the supply network.
ZArec has been developed especially for brief, highly dynamic regenerative operation, such as that which occurs in elevator systems.
Applications and areas of use:
- Cable elevators with asynchronous or synchronous motors
- Ultra-slim design
- For wall mounting in machine room or the elevator shaft
- Sinusoidal regenerative power from integrated EMC components
- Distortion factor THD: < 5 %
- No additional brake resistance for evacuation runs
